ASFA HOLDING CHAIRMAN OF THE BOARD ASAF ATASOY’S WORLD DISABLED DAY MESSAGE
ASFA HOLDING Chairman of the Board of Directors, Philanthropist and Businessman Asaf ATASOY, published a message on the occasion of December 3rd International Day of Persons with Disabilities.
ASFA HOLDING Chairman of the Board of Directors Asaf ATASOY included the following statements in his message;
December 3rd was accepted as the International Day of Persons with Disabilities by the United Nations in order to draw attention to the problems of people with disabilities all over the world and to create social awareness to better understand them.
Working for our disabled citizens to live a happy life is one of our most important duties. Today, it is seen that our State has signed very important works in this regard. Our State, which acts with the principle of “Let people live so that the state lives”, has made very serious basic legal arrangements for our disabled citizens to take an active part in social life, to participate in daily life without obstacles, to integrate with society, to have equal opportunities, and with the social policies implemented, our disabled citizens have been provided with the opportunity to benefit from much more comprehensive services.
When opportunities are provided and obstacles are removed for our disabled brothers and sisters, it is beyond all praise that they achieve proud success in every field from art to sports. We see this in our athletes who compete on behalf of our country and wave our country’s flag in every branch. Every success of theirs is a source of pride for us. On this occasion, it should not be forgotten that becoming disabled should never be considered the end of life; it should not be seen as an obstacle to reading, learning, and participating in social life.
On December 3rd, International Day of Persons with Disabilities, I am very happy with the efforts of our disabled citizens to participate in social life and achieve success; I invite everyone to support our disabled citizens and wish them a healthy, happy and honorable life.
