On November 10, 2023, the next Paris Peace Forum was held in Paris with the participation of heads of state and government, high-ranking representatives of countries, heads of international institutions and non-governmental organizations, which was attended by the delegation of the Republic of Tajikistan headed by the Minister of Foreign Affairs Mr. Sirojiddin Muhriddin.

 

 

 

 

The participants exchanged views on current issues, reducing international tension and strengthening peace and prosperity, such as global governance, combating climate change, solving transboundary problems, joint management of World Heritage sites, international regulation of cybersecurity, countering information fraud, as well as on other topics.

 

 

 

The work of the current Paris Forum covers 4 thematic sectors of peace and security, including Protecting the Planet and People, Ensuring Trust and Security in the Digital World, Eliminating Inequalities and Accelerating Achievement of the SDGs, and Creating Peace and Building a Safer World and approval of 60 submitted projects for this purpose.

On November 1st, 2023, the 16th Session of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the Cooperation Forum “Central Asia – the Republic of Korea” was held in Ashgabat city, which was attended by the delegation of the Republic of Tajikistan headed by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sirojiddin Muhriddin.

 

 

 

 

During his speech, the head of the Tajik delegation shared the country’s vision of expanding bilateral and multilateral cooperation, strengthening cooperation and sustainable development within this effective format.

 

 

 

 

On the sidelines of the Cooperation Forum, six thematic sessions were held in the areas of transport and logistics, health and medicine, environmental protection and climate change, information and communication technologies, science and education, as well as tourism in in-person and virtual formats.

The meeting participants exchanged views on important issues on the agenda, the development of mutually beneficial cooperation and the implementation of joint projects.

 

 

 

 

As a result of the meeting, the Joint Statement of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs and the Work Plan of the Secretariat of the Central Asia-Republic of Korea Cooperation Forum for 2024 were adopted.

On October 25, 2023, on the sidelines of the Global Gateway Forum, Foreign Minister Sirojiddin Muhriddin and EU Commissioner for International Partnerships Jutta Urpilainen signed a declaration on the allocation of 30 million euros for the development of vocational education in Tajikistan.

 

 

 

The funds will be used to implement programmes to ensure the employment of young people and women in key sectors of the economy such as agriculture, energy, green and digital industries.

 

 

 

The budget support programme promotes stability and green transition by introducing new modern elements in technical and vocational education and training.

On 11-12 October, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan Sirojiddin Muhriddin participated in the regular meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Commonwealth of Independent States in Bishkek.

 

 

 

In accordance with the agenda, the heads of the foreign ministries of the CIS member states considered more than 20 issues and exchanged views on topical issues of the international agenda and interaction in the Commonwealth format.

 

 

 

In his speech, S. Muhriddin stressed that the CIS remains one of the key platforms of multilateral relations for Tajikistan. The Minister noted that Tajikistan has also contributed to the implementation of the concept of the current chairmanship – in 2023, Dushanbe successfully hosted the events of the Interstate Council on Standardisation, Metrology and Certification, the Interstate Council on Space, as well as the meeting of the Council of Ministers of Justice of the CIS member states.

S. Muhriddin said that in the rapidly changing world, the CIS faces no less complex tasks than those solved over the past three decades. In this regard, he advocated the continuation of consistent joint work to improve all mechanisms of interaction, primarily on the basis of the decision adopted in 2016 on adapting the Commonwealth to the new realities.

 

 

 

 

At the end of the meeting, the ministers approved and submitted for consideration by the heads of state the issues on the conclusion of the Treaty on the Establishment of the International Organization for the Russian Language, the Action Plan for the Preparation and Celebration of the 80th Anniversary of the Victory in World War II (the Great Patriotic War) in the CIS in 2025, the Interstate Programme of Joint Measures to Combat Crime for 2024-2028, as well as a number of agreements and declarations.

During the meeting, the parties discussed current issues of bilateral and multilateral relations between Tajikistan and Iran in the political, trade, economic, industrial, energy, cultural, tourism and other spheres.

Toplantıda taraflar, CSTO gündemindeki güncel konuları tartıştı, Dışişleri Bakanları Konseyi, Savunma Bakanları Konseyi ve Güvenlik Konseyi Sekreterleri Komitesi’nin ortak toplantısının içeriğinin hazırlanmasına ilişkin görüş alışverişinde bulundu. Belarus Cumhuriyeti Örgütlerinde bu yılın Kasım ayının ikinci yarısında yapılması planlanan Kolektif Güvenlik Konseyi toplantısı.

Görüşmede, dışişleri bakanlıkları başkanları ikili işbirliğinin durumu ve daha da geliştirilmesine yönelik umutları tartıştı. En üst ve üst düzeylerde yaklaşan ziyaretlerin programı, özellikle Orta Asya Devlet Başkanları İstişare Toplantısı formatının Dışişleri Bakanları toplantısına yönelik hazırlıklar ve Yüksek Düzeyli Zirvelere yönelik hazırlıklar tartışıldı. bu yıl 14 ve 15 Eylül tarihlerinde Duşanbe’de düzenlenecek.
