On October 19, 2023, the First meeting of the Tajik-Iranian Political Committee was held in Dushanbe. Delegations of the parties took part in this meeting under the leadership of the Deputy Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan Sodiq Imomi and the Islamic Republic of Iran Ali Bagheri.

 

 

 

 

During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on the state and prospects of the development of bilateral relations in the political, trade, economic, health, tourism, cultural and educational spheres. Issues of cooperation between the two countries within the framework of regional and international organizations were also discussed.

 

 

 

The parties expressed their readiness to intensify mutually beneficial cooperation in all areas in order to facilitate the further expansion of bilateral and multilateral cooperation between Tajikistan and Iran.
