On May 16, 2023 the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan Sharaf Sheralizoda met with the delegation of the European Parliament led by Andris Amerix, which is in Dushanbe to participate in the 10th meeting of the Committee on Inter-Parliamentary Cooperation between Tajikistan and the European Union.

 

 

 

 

During the meeting, issues of cooperation between the Republic of Tajikistan and the European Parliament, the prospect of further development of inter-parliamentary relations, as well as the agenda of bilateral collaboration were discussed.

On March 3, 2023, in Vienna, at the headquarters of the Association of Austrian Chambers of Commerce (WKO), a round table was held on the topic of opportunities for trade and economic cooperation between Tajikistan and Austria.

The meeting was opened by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan Sharaf Sheralizoda, the Vice President of the Association of Austrian Chambers of Commerce (WKO) Patrick Sagmeister and Co-Chairman of the Joint Economic Commission, Head of the Foreign Economic Relations Group of the Austrian Federal Ministry of Labor and Economics Franz Wessig. The event was also attended by representatives of various departments of the Association of Austrian Chambers of Commerce and representatives of the World Bank, the Austrian Bank “Kontrollbank AG” and business circles of the two countries.

During the event, officials stressed the need to expand economic and commercial cooperation, attract capital and implement joint projects in priority areas, and Austrian companies expressed interest in establishing cooperation with Tajikistan in the areas of renewable energy, green economy, industry, digitalization, modern technologies, medicine, tourism, especially the development of winter tourism and mountaineering.

The event was followed by bilateral meetings of companies in the B2B format.

On March 1, 2023, on the sidelines of the Tajik-Hungarian business forum, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan Sharaf Sheralizoda has met with the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary Adam Stifter.

During the talks, the parties have welcomed the business forum of entrepreneurs of the two countries and exchanged views on the current situation and prospects for the development of mutually beneficial relations between Tajikistan and Hungary in the political, economic and commercial spheres, as well as within the framework of international organizations.

The parties confirmed their readiness to further expand bilateral relations between Tajikistan and Hungary in all areas in the spirit of friendship and mutual understanding.

On February 28, 2023, on the margins of the Business Forum of Entrepreneurs of Tajikistan and Slovakia, a meeting was held between the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan Sharaf Sheralizoda and the Deputy Minister of Economy of Slovakia Peter Svec.

During the meeting, the parties discussed issues of expanding trade and economic cooperation between Tajikistan and Slovakia and expressed their readiness to support cooperation between entrepreneurs of both countries.

At the same time, during the meeting, Sh. Sheralizoda briefed on the investment opportunities of Tajikistan in various areas, especially water and energy, agriculture and tourism.

On February 28, 2023, the first Tajik-Slovak Business Forum took place in Bratislava.

The meeting was opened by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan Sharaf Sheralizoda and the Deputy Minister of Economy of Slovakia Peter Svec. Trade and investment opportunities of the two countries were presented at the meeting.

The event was attended by representatives of state authorities of Tajikistan and Slovakia and entrepreneurs of both countries active in the fields of energy, manufacturing, services, oil and gas production, pharmaceuticals, etc.

The Forum provided the efficient platform to find business partners among entrepreneurs and expand trade and economic cooperation between the two countries

On February 21, 2023, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan Sharaf Sheralizoda met with the Head of the Asian Affairs Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Muhammad bin Abdulhadi Al-Matrafi.

During the meeting, an exchange of views took place on overriding issues of development of bilateral and multilateral relations between Tajikistan and Saudi Arabia.

The parties exchanged views on expanding cooperation in the fields of economy and trade, investment, tourism, as well as within the framework of international organizations.
