On July 14-15, 2025 in Tianjin, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan Sirojiddin Muhriddin took part in the Meeting of the Council of Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.

The heads of the foreign ministries held substantive discussions on the preparations for the upcoming meeting of the SCO Council of Heads of State scheduled for autumn 2025, and exchanged views on the priority areas of cooperation between the SCO member states in the context of new realities, as well as on current international and regional issues.

In his speech, Sirojiddin Muhriddin presented Tajikistan’s position on the topical issues on the SCO agenda with a focus on ensuring security and stability, sustainable economic development in the region and practical promotion of the Organization’s improvement.

As a result of the Meeting, the ministers adopted, as a basis, the drafts of the Tianjin Declaration of the Council of Heads of State, the SCO Development Strategy until 2035, and a number of decisions and joint statements.

Within the framework of the SCO Council of Foreign Minister’s Meeting, the foreign ministers were received by President of the People’s Republic of China Xi Jinping.
