Taking into account the riots taking place in France as a result of the brutal killing of an Algerian teenager by the police, the mass violence committed by the police, civil disobedience, the lack of ability to take adequate measures by the authorities, and further exacerbating racist tendencies, the citizens of the Republic of Azerbaijan are advised to refrain from visiting the Republic of France unless necessary, and exercise caution by those who are visiting.

“We believe our solidarity with Bulgaria as two NATO allies should be stronger than ever”
Holding a joint press conference with President Radev of Bulgaria, President Erdoğan said: “We are in a period when both the Balkans and the global system face great challenges. Therefore, we believe our solidarity as two NATO allies should be stronger than ever.”

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan held a joint press conference with President Rumen Radev of Bulgaria.

“During today’s talks, we discussed our developing and deepening relations as two neighborly countries. We are in a period when both the Balkans and the global system face great challenges. Therefore, we believe our solidarity as two NATO allies should be stronger than ever. We have reaffirmed our shared will to further advance our relations on a bilateral, regional and global scale.”

“OUR BILATERAL TRADE GOAL IS $10 BILLION”

Noting that they also discussed economic and trade relations as well as effective cooperation on managing irregular migration, President Erdoğan said: “Last year, our bilateral trade volume reached $6 billion. We will boost our efforts to achieve our shared goal of $10 billion as soon as possible.”

“Our cooperation will further advance with the completion of the border gates on the Bulgarian side, and especially with the strengthening of the food inspection infrastructure,” President Erdoğan said. “I would like to take this occasion to thank once again to President Radev for his support to our businessmen, who have invested over €2.5 billion in Bulgaria. Cooperation opportunities on energy security were also on our agenda.”

Stating that the Bulgarian Turks constitute a strong bridge between Türkiye and Bulgaria, President Erdoğan said: “As you all know, I pay special attention to protect our shared cultural heritage. In this spirit, we restored and reopened the Iron Church in Balat in 2018. It is our sincere wish that the Ibrahim Pasha Mosque in Razgrad be restored and reopened for prayer as soon as possible.”

Noting that bilateral visits will contribute to deepening the neighborly relations, President Erdoğan said: “On behalf of myself and my nation, I extend my heartfelt greetings to the people of Bulgaria, our friend and ally. I hope President Radev’s visit will lead to auspicious results for our countries and region.”

WKF appoints Shin Koyamada as Karate’s Ambassador in Los Angeles
The World Karate Federation has appointed actor and KIF Global co-founder Shin Koyamada as Karate’s Ambassador in Los Angeles.

Originally from Japan, a black belt in Karate and Los Angeles resident for the last 20 years, Shin Koyamada is the co-founder and global chairman of KIF (Koyamada International Foundation).

Actor, producer, entrepreneur, and philanthropist, Shin Koyamada became best known worldwide for his film debut co-starring in “The Last Samurai” and starring in Disney Channel’s Movie “Wendy Wu Homecoming Warrior”.

The decision to designate Koyamada as Karate’s Ambassador in Los Angeles comes following the WKF’s agreement with KIF and the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) to launch the far-reaching and momentous “Guardian Girls Global Karate project” to fight Gender-Based Violence.

The WKF signed a Memorandum of Understanding with KIF and UNFPA in Los Angeles last week to join forces to combat Gender-Based Violence around the world. The pilot event of the Guardian Girls Karate project was held on October 8th in Los Angeles.

WKF President Antonio Espinós said:

“Shin Koyamada is not only a true karateka at heart; he has been one of the main forces behind the creation of the Guardian Girls Karate project, the most ambitious social initiative of the WKF in the history of our organisation.

“With the appointment of Mr Koyamada as our Ambassador in Los Angeles, we hope to continue finding ways to spread the values of Karate in LA and around the world.”

Countdown to #Karate1Baku intensifies as excitement grows among Karate Stars

The 2022 Karate 1-Premier League Baku is one month to go. As the event reaches the -30-day mark, the excitement grows among top karate athletes with the registration process entering the third phase.

Over 260 competitors have already registered to participate in #Karate1Baku. Once the two first phases of the registration process have been finished, two categories are near to completion. The divisions of Male Kumite -60kg and Male Kumite -84kg both have already 31 athletes registered.

The rest of the categories still have vacancies but are expected to be completed since the registration goes now to the third phase where competitors ranked between positions 65 and 100 of the WKF World Ranking can enter the event. The deadline for registration is August 18th.

GRAND WINNER AWARDS UP FOR GRABS

The Karate 1-Premier League Baku will play a crucial role in the designation of the Grand Winners of the year. Most categories are up for grabs with standing leaders hoping to earn the points to win the “Best of the Best” award.

Hikaru Ono of Japan is leading Female Kata with less than 300 points of difference from second-placed Mo Sheung Grace Lau of Hong Kong.

In Female Kumite -50kg, Yorgelis Salazar of Venezuela holds a comfortable 990-point advantage over Reem Ahmed Salama of Egypt, just as Anzhelika Terliuga of Ukraine in Female Kumite -55kg, with a 1410-point lead over Tuba Yakan of Turkey.

The leader of Female Kumite -61kg is Anita Serogina of Ukraine who is ahead of both Alessandra Mangiacapra of Italy and Assel Kanay of Kazakhstan by a slim margin of 150 points.

Also with a small advantage, Irina Zaretska of Azerbaijan tops Female Kumite -68kg (180 points over Elena Quirici of Switzerland).

The last category of female divisions is headed by Menna Shaaban Okila of Egypt who is 210 points ahead of Lucija Lesjak of Croatia, Nancy Garcia of France and Ayaka Saito of Japan, all with 990 points.

In Male Kata, two Japanese karatekas take the top positions, with Kazumasa Moto in the first place and Kakeru Nishiyama in the second position at 180 points.

Only 90 points separate the two top-ranked karatekas in Male Kumite -60kg, Abdullah Shaaban of Kuwait and Abdel Ali Jina of Morocco, while the difference between leader Dionysios Xenos of Greece and Didar Amirali of Kazakhstan in Male Kumite -67kg is 180 points.

World Championships runner-up Abdalla Abdelaziz of Egypt tops the category of Male Kumite -75kg with a 330-point difference over Daniele De Vivo of Italy, while teammate and World Champion Youssef Badawy heads Male Kumite -84kg, with the same advantage over Mohamed Ramadan, also from Egypt.

The last category in the Male competition is headed by Babacar Seck Sakho of Spain who leads Male Kumite +84kg with an advantage of 450 points over Taha Tarek Mahmoud of Egypt.

Competitors need to participate in at least four events on two different continents to be eligible to receive the Grand Winner award. The prestigious award will be given at a special ceremony at the final Karate 1-Premier League event of the year in Los Angeles.

GSO Yönetim Kurulu Başkanı Adnan Ünverdi ile Akdan Danışmanlık A.Ş. Şirket Yetkilisi Nilüfer Arıak’ın katılımıyla imzalanan protokolle, Gaziantep Makine, Metal Laboratuvarı ve Isıl İşlem Merkezinin Kurulumu Fizibilite Raporunun Hazırlanması hizmet alımı gerçekleştirilecek.

Projenin Gaziantep için çok önemli olduğunu dile getiren GSO Yönetim Kurulu Başkanı Adnan Ünverdi, Isıl İşlem Merkezi kurulmasının özellikle firmaların zaman kazanımı açısından çok yararlı olacağını söyledi.

Gaziantep’in üreten bir şehir olduğunu vurgulayan Adnan Ünverdi, “Bu üretim sürecinde sanayicilerimizin ihtiyaç duyduğu test hizmetlerini GSO bünyesinde kurulacak laboratuvar sayesinde Gaziantep’te yapılması sağlanacak. Isıl işlem merkezi ile sanayicilerimiz gerekli işlemlerini bu merkezde yapabilecek olup, bu testler için şehir dışına gidilmesi dolayısıyla zaman ve maliyet kaybının önüne geçilecek. Protokol hem şehrimize hem de ülkemize hayırlı uğurlu olsun” dedi.

Projede ayrıca savunma sanayinin de hedeflendiğine dikkati çeken Adnan Ünverdi, “Şehrimiz geniş bir yelpazede üretim yapıyor. Buna savunma sanayi ve medikal sektörünü de eklemek istiyoruz. Bu noktada Makine, Metal Laboratuvarı ve Isıl İşlem Merkezinin Kurulumu Fizibilite Raporunun Hazırlanması ile sanayimizin ihtiyaçları belirlenerek Makine, Metal Laboratuvarı ve Isıl İşlem Merkezinin Kurulumu gerçekleşecek. Emeği geçen herkese çok teşekkür ediyorum” diye konuştu.

Akdan Danışmanlık A.Ş. Şirket Yetkilisi Nilüfer Arıak da yapılacak testlerle önemli bir işlevin yerine getirileceğini belirterek, “Savunma sanayi yerlileştirme çalışmaları için de yapılan bu proje yararlı olacak. Protokolün hayırlı olmasını diliyorum” şeklinde konuştu.
